Small firm. Serious controls.
Hudson Financial & Risk Solutions LLP was established in Binghamton in 2019 to do one thing properly: give growing businesses the accounting rigor and compliance infrastructure that usually only arrives with a full internal finance department.
Firm facts
- Established: 2019, Binghamton, New York

- Led by: Deanna A. Henderson, CPA, CMA
- Service area: Southern Tier, Central NY, New York State
- Focus: Accounting & compliance services
Built from the inside of the problem
The firm exists because of a pattern its founder kept meeting from the other side of the table: capable businesses with genuinely good operators, undone by finance functions that were never redesigned as the company grew.
A company doubles in headcount but keeps the chart of accounts it opened with. A controller leaves and takes the filing calendar with them, because it only ever existed in their inbox. A grant arrives with restriction requirements nobody has the systems to track. None of these are dramatic failures. They are quiet ones, and they surface at the worst possible moment, usually when a lender, an auditor, an acquirer or a regulator asks a question that requires a clean answer.
Hudson was built to be the firm that fixes the system rather than patching the symptom. We are deliberately small, which means the partner who scopes your work is the partner who reviews it. We publish our timetables and hold ourselves to them. And we say no to engagements where a lighter-touch provider would genuinely serve you better.

Years of finance, risk and compliance leadership behind the practice
Integrated service lines under one accountable partner
Engagements scoped and priced in writing before work starts
Four commitments we will be held to
Every professional services firm claims integrity and responsiveness. These are four commitments we are willing to be measured against, stated specifically enough that you can tell whether we have met them.
Dates are commitments
If we agree your close lands on business day five, it lands on business day five. When something genuinely threatens a date, you hear about it while there is still time to act, not afterward.
Bad news travels fast
A variance we cannot explain, a control that failed, a filing at risk: you get told immediately and plainly. Discovering a problem late is almost always more expensive than the problem itself.
Documented, not remembered
Every process we build is written down: calendars, control matrices, reconciliation procedures, responsibility maps. Institutional knowledge that lives in one head is a risk, not an asset.
Fit before fee
If a bookkeeper and a seasonal preparer would serve you better than a CPA firm on retainer, we will say so in the first conversation. Selling you something heavier than you need is a short-term win and a long-term loss.

Assess. Design. Execute. Monitor.
The same four stages run underneath every service line, because most accounting failures are process failures, and process failures are fixed by sequence and ownership, not by heroics in March.
Assess
A structured review of your books, close process, filing history and control environment, producing a written findings memo that ranks issues by exposure.
Design
We agree on the target state (chart of accounts, close calendar, control matrix, reporting pack, and who owns each step) and document it before anything changes.
Execute
We clear the backlog, close rebuilt, and the first two or three cycles run alongside your team so the process is proven in practice rather than on paper.
Monitor
We manage the ongoing close, filings and control testing on the agreed calendar, with a quarterly review of what changed in the business and what it means for the year ahead.
